CDMM (UK) has delivered a diverse range of building services and sustainability solutions across the prestigious Skibo Estate and Castle over a number of years. Our involvement spans both heritage and contemporary developments, demonstrating our ability to sensitively integrate modern engineering within historically significant environments. Projects undertaken include works at Home Farm, the golf club extension and refurbishment, a new driving range, and a bespoke treehouse development. Each project required a tailored approach, balancing high-performance building services design with the unique character and conservation requirements of the estate. Working within a live, operational environment presented additional logistical and coordination challenges. Close collaboration with the wider design team, including architects, structural engineers and interior designers, was essential to ensure seamless integration of services without compromising aesthetic or heritage value. A key aspect of our role involved connecting developments to the estate-wide district heating network, requiring careful planning and innovative engineering solutions to maintain efficiency while respecting the sensitive landscape. Our continued involvement at Skibo highlights our expertise in delivering sustainable, technically robust solutions across complex, conservation-led sites, while supporting the evolution of high-quality, contemporary facilities.
